The LR-TDV8 4.4-liter turbocharged parallel sequential movement replaces RS-TDV8 3.6 liters and is unique to the Range Rover. A “brand new” super-diesel, the LR-TDV8 combines superior power and torque with massive new levels of refinement. Despite improved performance, this V8 is sublime cleaner also deliver fuel economy and even lower CO2 emissions than its predecessor and to meet the strict EU5 emission standards. The new title, however, is that fuel consumption combined cycle TDV8 RS-new 4.4-liter is just 30.1mpg, making it the first Range Rover ever better 30mpg.

The new diesel engine is assisted in this regard by his marriage with an impressive new electronically controlled ZF 8HP70, 8-speed automatic transmission controlled by Land Rover engineers to combine silky smooth shifting with exceptionally fast response and outstanding fuel economy. This combination of size is sufficient to propel the Range Rover from rest to 60mph in just 7.5 seconds to complete the scoreboard 50 mph-75 mph in just 5.1 seconds.

To reflect the performance of the new RS-TDV8 4.4 liter, diesel models are equipped with the same Brembo brake system based on RS-mounted 5.0-liter supercharged V8 model. Providing the immense stopping power needed for the vehicles that perform the highest level, the system comprises 380mm ventilated discs at the front with a single, lightweight aluminum monobloc six-piston calipers opposite action. 365mm ventilated discs with single piston sliding calipers are mounted at the rear.

The Range Rover 2011 is enhanced by improving the Terrain Response ® as Hill Start Assist and gradient acceleration control. In the cabin there treadplate light option for front doors, controls the transmission of news for the diesel model, and improved entertainment system.
